We serve the communities of Oakhurst, Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, North Fork, Coarsegold, Yosemite Lakes, Raymond, Fish Camp, O Neals, and portions of Yosemite National Park and the Sierra National Forest; over 1,000 square miles in all. The total population of all of these communities is just over 30,000. Sierra Ambulance is a non-profit corporation founded in 1964.
It is the continuing mission of Sierra Ambulance Service to provide the highest quality emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care to the sick and injured. This care extends beyond ambulance transportation and includes community education and involvement in programs that reduce injury, illness, and death in our community.
We are committed to our patients. We will:
Provide high-quality care in a courteous manner to every patient. Make all treatment, transport and destination decisions based on the patient’s best interest. Be compassionate, courteous and cooperative to the patient, his/her family and the other caregivers involved. Always drive in a safe and courteous manner.
We are committed to the community. We will:
Continuously strive to improve our level of service. Actively serve the community through education and prevention programs. Cooperate with Allied agencies to develop new ways to meet the health and safety needs of the community. Provide excellent equipment and training. Be "response ready".
We are committed to each other.
Each of us is a unique and valuable resource, and we will guard each others’ safety and well being. Each one of us is responsible to: Treat each other with courtesy and respect. Actively support professional and personal growth. Promote a fair and pleasant work environment. To this end Sierra Ambulance will offer competitive wages and benefits.
